Dr. Cheng is a pianist, educator, and Professor and Department Chair of Music at CSU San Marcos. In addition to collegiate teaching and leadership, Dr. Cheng maintains an active private piano studio serving children, teens, and adults throughout North County San Diego.
Lessons emphasize technical development, creativity, musical expression, and confidence in a supportive and student-centered environment. Students may participate in recitals, MTAC programs, theory instruction, and performance opportunities tailored to their individual goals and interests.
Dr. Cheng is an active member and membership secretary on the board in the North San Diego Music Teachers’ Association of California and is dedicated to fostering meaningful and lifelong engagement with music.
